OSMOSiS Run-Time

OSMOSiS Run-Time is the finished product once developed a system using OSMOSiS Developer. The powerful application created can be ran on a private network or better still over the internet.

OSMOSiS uses a telnet session to communicate with the data and programs on the server allowing a slim line connection to be made, reducing data flow which in turn gives great speed for the end user.

OSMOSiS Run-Time consists of the following:


	Tree view style Menu	Top
	All programs written need to be accessed somehow, therefore we designed a very easy to use menu system. Similar to Windows Explorer allows the user to navigate through their menu structure with ease. Favourite programs can be stored in the favourites section of the menu so running your programs become simple. Shortcuts can be generated so you can run the program from the desktop for example. Again, this enables the end user to execute programs easily. Screen Shot


	Data entry forms	Top
	Entering data into your application can be done using our data entry forms. The forms can be tabbed so that information can be spread across numerous forms, so the form doesn't look to crammed with data. The grid we incorporated into OSMOSiS is very flexible and functional - grids can be added into data entry forms making data entry a please not a chore. Screen Shot


	Enquiry facility	Top
	This is a group of files and under each file is a list of sub forms. It could be best described as a filing cabinet where the drawers are the files (such as Clients, Vendors, Products etc) and the related forms (such as Client Bills, Orders, History, Prices etc) are the folders. The cabinet enquiry setup is parameterised within the developer, thus giving us a very quick and powerful window into the database especially good for telesales. Once created, the focus will be on the key field and part of the key can be entered. The searching routine will go through the first file and search through all of the cross references, if not found it will continue through just the keys of all the other associated files making the searching very quick and extremely robust. 	Reports, Prints, Updates and Selects	Top
	A Windows front-end has been made available giving a standard ‘look and feel’ for entering select criteria, selecting/displaying fields to be listed and sort fields for Reports. Once the Report data has been selected, there is a choice of ‘what would you like to do the data’. If chosen to preview the report before actually printing it, a list of export functions is displayed. Available from preview is the ability to export directly if requested.
