MAIN MENU
This is the first menu in the heirarchy, called the MAINMENU.
The MAINMENU will give you access to any part of the system, provided the password used to "log-on" to this Account has the correct priority level and does not specifically disallow access to the item(s) required.
To return to the MAINMENU from any menu in the heirarchy, you may either use ESC or abt (normally F1) to step back one menu, or the Operator may enter the 0 and RETURN to jump straight back to MAINMENU.
If 0 and RETURN is used when the Operator is on the MAINMENU, control will be passed to the SYSPROG Account/Menu.
To by-pass menus, the Operator may use an Alpha Mnemonic code that appears, in brackets, following the required item. Control will immediately be passed to the selected item, provided the Operator's password and priority level permits access. When the Operator ends the routine, control will be passed to the menu that was displayed when the Operator typed the Mnemonic code.
If a list of the Mnemonic codes is required, press * and RETURN; a list will be displayed in alphabetical sequence. The Operator may choose a code by its list number. For a shorter, more precise list, the Operator may enter * followed by the first letter(s) of the Mnemonic Code and RETURN to display all codes beginning with the letters specified.
Example: *SL and RETURN will display a list of codes starting with SL.
If ESC or abort key is used when the Operator is at the MAINMENU then control will then pass to the password/log-on screen and a password must then be entered to regain entry.
